Dairy farmers in Victoria are on to a good thing… saving water and money through remote monitoring. The latest edition of The Devondaler, published by Murray Goulburn Co-op, highlights the benefits of Taggle’s remote monitoring network in dairy farming, helping to identify water leaks which would cost thousands of dollars if not addressed.

Having experienced a water leak which increased his water bill from $300 to $8000, dairy farmer Ted Featherstone was quick to accept an offer by Barwon Water to install a Taggle device on his property. According to the article, “Tom Macdonald, Barwon Water’s agricultural water advisor, estimates that in one year the Sydney-made Taggles have saved a minimum of 4ML. He said that extrapolated over potential leakages, the figure could be as high as 20ML.”
