Mareeba Shire residents are set to save potentially thousands of dollars on their water bills following the adoption of a new automatic meter reading (AMR) system by council. The new devices, provided by Taggle wireless sensor networks, monitor individual water use by transmitting meter readings to two local receivers every hour.
